Wedding Day, 2023
"Emily painted a view of our wedding which has been hung in our living room for the last year. It’s alway commented on by visiting friends and family and is a lovely reminder of our wedding that we get to look at every day and admire Emily’s talent. We often still notice new details that she has added, really capturing our day perfectly."
Chalk Meets Water, 2023
"I recently purchased your incredible painting 'Chalk Meets Water' from Alfriston Arts. We have it pride of place in our living room and I admire it often whether its at 2am when I let the dog out or over coffee on a Sunday morning. And I pick out new things everyday; only recently found the lighthouse discreet in the distance! It is now the centre piece of our new home."

Paddy In Bluebells, 2023
"Thank you Emily so much for your beautiful painting of our border terrier Paddy which exceeded all our expectations. You have captured the character and soul of our little dog exquisitely. We absolutely love it!"
Tulips at Keukenhof, 2o22
"I’ve commissioned two paintings by Emily and have been absolutely thrilled with both. Both capture special places so perfectly and also make an incredible gift. The attention to detail is amazing and the paintings bring so much joy. Emily was also a pleasure to work with."

South Downs Poppies, 2021
"Emily is a wonderfully talented young artist. I love her work for its colour, vibrancy and beautiful scenes from the natural world, many of them places I know and love.
We commissioned a painting from her after a major redecoration in our home and I absolutely love it. I urge people to take a look at her portfolio. I am proud to be part of her journey."
Bluebells In Sunlight 2022
"We were first attracted to Emily’s work when we saw a painting of the Seven Sisters cliffs in a gallery window. The almost photo-realistic level of detail and rich true-life colours really captured our attention, and her choice of view-point gave the painting a very 3-dimensional aspect which we found captivating.
We subsequently saw and bought another, smaller piece by Emily of the South Downs Way in summer. The level of detail and choice of colours kept drawing us back to it. We contacted Emily directly as the first painting we purchased sustained damage in an accident – we asked her if she could reproduce this painting. She responded immediately and produced a replacement within a few weeks which means perhaps even more to us than the first version as it was painted specifically for us, and Emily was keen to get our input on colours which helped us feel involved in the creative process (a rare and precious experience for us!).
More recently, we had the opportunity to visit Emily at her studio which was a wonderful experience as we could see works in progress, and were able to see a number of other works not available through galleries. We went on to purchase another piece which perfectly captured a spring day in Sussex woodland.
Emily really has a talent for capturing landscapes in a way we have not seen in anyone else’s work. It is really detailed, photographic almost, and yet still manages to be full of her personal expression too."

August Sunflowers On The Downs, 2021
"I just wanted to say a big thank you for the wonderful paintings which are now proudly hanging in our home.
We fell in love with your work and love to see the familiar landscapes every day. It’s especially so lovely and cheery to see the nodding sunflowers on a dark chilly winters day, reminding me of how special it is to live in Sussex. You are such a talented artist and I look forward to adding to our collection."
Argulls, Spanish Pyrenées, 2023
"We were delighted with the painting Emily produced for us and felt it truly captured the ski resort which we love so much. Would highly recommend this amazing artist to others."

South Downs Poppies And Wildflowers In July, 2024
"Emily’s paintings are a slice of the outside brought in. Then of course they alter the house inside. The painting I have has three layers: blue sky, green Downs, meadow flowers. All three are essential."
River Cuckmere And Hawthorn Blossom, 2023
"I collected your painting from Alfriston Arts, it is stunning and evokes such happy memories of walks with my dog. Thank you so much."

Rosie, 2024
"Thank you so much for the painting of our little Rosie. The detail is really quite incredible, and you captured her character perfectly. Have found a perfect spot for it, where I get to see it every time I leave the house and when I come home, I love seeing it and admiring it, you are incredibly talented!"
Family Walk On Wolstonbury, 2025
"My family commissioned Emily to do a painting for my birthday. To say I was completely blown away would be an understatement. We have always loved Emily's paintings and to have a piece that is unique to me and my family was overwhelming and has quickly becomes one of my most treasured possessions. The painting beautifully captures the places, people and spirit of all the things we love about living in the Sussex downs - it locks in a memory that will stay with us forever and remind us of what is important. Emily's own passion and intimate experience of the landscape comes through so beautifully and to know how much she enjoys taking the time to paint our beautiful hills means so much."

Wolstonbury Hill & Wildflower Meadow, 2024
"We love Emily's work. Each piece sings and celebrates the stunning Downs landscapes. My parents had recently moved to Devon - some distance away from Sussex! We brought this piece for them as a gift to celebrate their new home and the next chapter in their lives. It is a stunning and gentle reminder of the incredible Sussex downlands and a wonderful way to connect us each day as they see it displayed on their wall."
Manic Snowdog, 2025
"Thank you Emily for painting Marvin, you captured the manic expression he has on his face when playing with his beloved ball, we aptly named the painting Manic Snowhound!
Your attention to detail really shows his character, a true artist"
